MeasuPro OX100 Instant Read Pulse Oximeter, Rotating Oled Display, Oxygen and Pulse Rate Monitor, Case and Lanyard Included
Hello everyone, before I get into my review I wanted to share my story with you. And I really stand behind this product by smartweigh. I suggest buying one of these for your household, and learning where your stats should be, and where your childeren's stats should be.
The day I received this item for review was the first day I used it, my daughter woke up feeling under the weather, and didn't even move off of the couch, I honestly didn't think much of it, the whole family was getting over a bad stomach bug, but I thought, hey lets try out my new gadget. The batteries were easy to put in. And everything was easy to use, I put it right on my daughter's (age 3) finger. I quickly was able to get a reading; even on her small petite finger. I was shocked at what I saw/read. I remember what adults and children should be reading from when I went to school, I quickly double checked by doing a Bing search. I stood her right up and promoted her to walk, at that point she almost passed out. We rushed her to the ER.
My daughter had 106.3 fever, and a kidney infection. Because this was in our home she was able to be taken to the hospital (maybe hours before me and my husband would have picked up on how bad she really was). Minutes count.
Maybe this helped by afew mins, maybe longer. But I do know this was used, and helped.
So it's recommended by myself as, A blogger, and mother.
My review maybe less personal, but it's an accurate discussion of the item, and my honest review.
Who knew that affordable and reliable pulse oximeters were available for use at home? This one is compact, it comes with a lanyard and can be worn around the neck; there is a nice black pouch with a place to put it around your belt loop on the back so you can have it close to you where ever you go.
It runs on 2 AAA batteries, which are included, and I recommend getting good-quality rechargeable batteries such as the Panasonic eneloop for replacements.
The finger grip is soft rubber and it only takes a few seconds to get an accurate reading of oxygen saturation and pulse rate. The LCD screen is very legible and If there is a problem with a reading, an error message is displayed and there is a low battery indicator, as well.
It appears to be accurate over repeated readings, I compared the reading from smartweigh to the one used at the hospital. I received the same reading each time.
I would give 5 STARS
I'm EXTREAMLY happy with this item, it can be informative, helpful, and a lifesaver.
